Sun Visor ???

Post by Dfnsmn34 »

Can anyone help me with a question about Sun Visors? Or several questions...

1.) What other years can be used for a 67 d100?
2.) What other models will work for a 67 d100?
3.) Does anyone make repops?
4.) Is anyone selling on the forum? If so, how much? Shipping to 96706.

Aloha and Mahalo!

If you can identify a cross fit, say maybe a '67 b or c-body passenger car ( maybe even a convertible, they're different). REM makes re-pop visors. They do most colors as well. One problem, they only sell wholesale, you'll need to find a retailer. Check Mopar Muscle for REM distributors.

They say their South american factory has become unreliable. They are unsure if and when they will get any. Thanks for info. Wooferdog!

If you do find a passenger model visor that'll cross for your truck, also check Legendary Auto Interiors. I know they do visors as well.

If you don't need an exact concours replacement. '70-71 e-body visors look like a good fit. Proper length overall but have a little cutout at the end to clear their rearview mirror. 67-68 a-body visors are identical in shape but not long enough overall. I'll keep working on this.

Wow! Wooferdog Thanks for the help. No need to be concours. I did get some visor end holders off of ebay. I though he is a member here...ladysmanrob?

Of course the cuda would have to be the ones to fit...to much $$$$ for those...but I'll still look...might get lucky!

Aloha and Mahalo! If you do find something let me know...there could be some Kona Coffee in it for ya! :dance

Ok, let me get this straight. You need nice quality (new, used, or repop), don't have to be original visors but something that fits. White preferable. Here's another question. White white or the pearl white?

Here's a lead. Talk to Rick at Laysons Restorations (the toll free is 877.930.4088) here in Tacoma (Lakewood actually). Talk only to Rick (he knows his mopars). Get his e-mail and send him pics of yours and he might be able to match up something. Or ask him to get a hold of me and we'll try to match something up using my 1970 visors as a model. I used to work there and dropped in last week to check their stock. That's how I found out the 'cuda ones were close. I'm tired of Starbucks and some real Konawould be great.

Where in Hawaii are these going?

NIce quality! Thats it. New, Used, Repop is fine. The truck didn't have any when he got it. I've seen pictures of visors..but only pictures. Tell ya what let me check out the funkyjbp. I'll work it out with him and let you know how it goes. I'll forward any pictures he sends me. I'll PM you Wooferdog about the coffee... oh ya , Ewa Beach Oahu.

Funkyjbp! Deal. I'll email you.

Great help guys!

I've heard of Rick..and what I've heard he does know his stuff! Sounds like Layson got the shaft at Carlisle. Hopefully that all works out....

Aloha!

I worked for Laysons for a couple of years. Try as I might to get things turned around (made some progress) but it was frustrating to say the least. To be honest, Layson is his own worst enemy. Rick, on the other hand is a devoted mopar guy, and dedicated to get the best parts out to the enthusiast. Don't hesitate to call on him.

Best of luck on the free white visors. Goes to show you how dedicated and pro-active the people on this board are. Definitely a valuable resource. It's the people here that make the difference.

Mike,
The change occured between 67 and 68. The 67 and earlier visors had a white plastic 3hole base. The 68 and newer visors have a stamped steel three hole base. Which kind do you need?

Doug
