Re: suicide doors
i did a set on a 70 Chebby about 10 yrs ago. it was easy. our hinges would work well to do the swap. toughest part would be to brace the back of the door to hold the weight & strengthen the cab where the hinges would be bolted to it. it would be cool to see it done. i bet we could talk MeanGreen into it.

Re: suicide doors
After seeing Loparguy's pic, looks like it would be practical to reuse the stock
hinges in the rear jam. Reinforcing the rear jam would be simple enough.
Might have to re contour the opening some to get an even plane for the hinges.
Then open up the door and build/move the plates the hinges connect to inside.
Hmmm... Might have to add this to my long term crew cab plans.

Re: suicide doors
Ive seen one other but no close up pics. The easy way would be to take the door skin off but i think i will cut a hole in the front and make a full door panel. Stock hindges would work i think also

Re: suicide doors
when i did that set on that Chebby, i went to the "U-Pull-It" got a set of hinges out of an early '60's ford. but they where of about the same construction as ours.
