Where to find a 3 speed conversion kit?

Post by DB69 »

I am looking to change the shifter from the column to the floor on my 69 D100
I have received many tips that this way would be the best way to go.
The truck, which has only a little over 14,000 miles on it was originally municipally owned from 1969 to 2002, and I am only the third owner.
The truck currently runs but will not shift at all, and I miss the fun of driving it. It has a 318 with the speed column mounted shifter with custom trim on it, and currently has a utility/contractor's bed on it
I would like to get a regular 8 foot bed for it as well, preferabl close to Indiana where I live. I would prefer a stepside bed but would also be interested in a sweptside bed. I have had some nice leads on beds but they have been too far to pursue because of the cost of gas.
As always I appreciate the help and advice from everyone.
In a sperate note Happy Father's Day to all the Dads
