SERT question

Post by soopernaut »

I was copying all the SERT numbers down from the trucks in the VPW yard and came across I C C REF 44550. 2 W200 crew cabs had this. Anybody know what I C C Ref could be?

44550 is a SERT for reflectors of some sort...

That makes since, REF stands for reflectors. I don't think either of those trucks had a bed or front clip so I didn't see them. Not that I was looking for them anyway.

Could it be that ICC REF refers to the Interstate Commerce Commission and their requirement for certain Reflectors or lights for commercial traffic?

Just a guess on my part. None of my 3 Crewcabs have that SERT - nor do they have any special reflectors/lighting (other than the '70 does have over-cab clearance lights).
