Newbie 69 D200 Sweptline owner question.
The truck is a Custom, with the Camper Special package.
Is the grille suppose to be black from the factory?
The paint is in poor condition, so I'm experimenting with that brush on paint stripper chemical stuff. Looks pretty good as bare aluminum. Didn't know if repainting it would be the "factory look" (click on little pic to see big pic):

Cool, I was hoping for that answer.
Got the....
"If it's not chrome, it's black, and if it's not black, it's chrome"
....paint combination bouncing around the cranium. (And, uh, ........perhaps a little bit of polished aluminum & stainless.
)

For what its worth my Camper Special is an aluminum finish grill. No sign the grill was ever painted.

The steel grilles are painted off-white. The aluminum grilles are not painted at all.
