Body shops can be strange places when it comes to
painting vehicles. As the job is their "signature",
some shops just won't slap a coat of paint on it and
get you out the door. I know that Trey looked into
painting his truck a while back and was turned away
by at least one or two shops. There's always the
Earl Scheib option.... but I'd strongly suggest that
you do some good prep work before they take it in.
Tape off or remove things [like trim, badges, etc.]
that you don't want painted. I've heard they'll tape
your windows before they spary it, but that's about
it.

I paid $1900 for a minimal amount of body work and a base/clear paint job. No rust repair. It included painting the dash body color and dying the dash pad. I had everything removed, including glass, and did some prep. This was at a local paint shop called Spray-Glo. It's a good job but not show quality. If you aren't looking for show quality you can get a good paint job reasonably at shops like Macco, but you will need to do some prep your self.

There's always the rustoleum option!!! I'm slowly working on my truck, and it's turning out pretty nice. I really like the color too, sunrise red!!

Good luck

I dont want to get into it again but the Roller method with Rustolum or Brightside paint is the only way to go for a cheap!! "better then Macco" driver quality paint job!

Tom-adc can vouch for me on this one...Whats the story on peoples reactions when you tell them you rolled it on!

I get a kick out of peoples look when I tell them I rolled that paint on.
Remember the proof in any paint job is in the prep work before the paint goes on :study
I do refer to my paint as a 20 footer though but I like it. :Thumbsup
