2 tone paint schemes

Post by tmkj »

I was thinking of painting the top of the cab white on my 63 d100...The bottom will be desert turquoise. Anyone have any pics on the correct placement of the transition? not sure if i want to do a thin pin stripe separating the two or just change at the seam.

This original paint desert turquoise w/ white roof is on ebay right now with good pictures. Looks like the drip rail is turquoise, and everything above is white.

Save the pictures if you want them, the ebay add won't be up forever.

Later trucks were like this...
Image

Stone stock other than the L'il Red Express rims and the bed boards. Oh, and the bootlegging tank where normal trucks would have a spare fuel tank... Truck was a shine hauler before I bought it. Fake tank had been set up with dummy fuel lines and a dummy transfer switch that actually ran the drain.

69 D100. Not sure where the color break was for the first generation 4 headlight trucks, never owned one. Wouldn't own this one if I could have found a 65.5-68, the 69-71 dash and hood are too plain for my taste. So I'm always looking for either a 68 hood, a 61-68 dash, or a complete 65.5-67 front clip.

I didn't like to off white so it was painted in a Ford white.
