Re: Head liner
It's just ribbed cardboard in a stainless or chromed J channel. Nothing fancy. I'll try and get a pic of mine for you later today if nobody else has a good shot they can put up.
I'm planning to toss the cardboard unit and get back on my wood strip conversion. Started cutting the pieces years ago, and a couple moves later, need to start over...

Re: Head liner
i assumed that it was since my 68 has it and my cousins 70 Dude had signs of it..... I could be wrong. Now you'll have me searching the brochure's!
Re: Head liner
These guys have headliner material in different colors. They say its correct I don't know my truck had nasty shag carpet glued to the roof when I got it.
**NOT ALLOWED**. I can't post their name they are a competitor.

Re: Head liner
While mine fell out and I do not have pictures, my '69 had ribbed cardboard in J channel as WD had stated.

Re: Head liner
Well, if you weren't 400 miles away you could just harvest the pieces out of mine. Can't mail them, the cardboard would get destroyed. Wife hid the camera on me again, will get a pic or two when it turns up.

Re: Head liner
There don't appear to be any pictures in the brochures. I'm sure we have threads somewhere of headliner pictures. Also 69 could have the large headliner or the smaller one.wally426ci wrote:i assumed that it was since my 68 has it and my cousins 70 Dude had signs of it..... I could be wrong. Re: Head liner
here are a couple of pics I took of the headliner and trim in a 1970 Adventurer. This is in a local junkyard, and the vinyl covered cardboard material is VERY brittle. I did take a sample with me though!

Re: Head liner
the trim has two side pieces and a rear piece.. the front of the liner has a "hem" to finish the edge and is held by several screws with finish washers. The middle of the headliner has a bracket welded to the roof and is secured through the headliner and to the bracket

Re: Head liner
That's what mine has, only mint ice cream green to match the door panels, which are missing their trim bits.

Re: Head liner
I guess the smaller headliner did still have the basket weave pattern in 69-71.soopernaut wrote:I don't believe that was used in 69.wally426ci wrote:or do you mean the "basket weave" type?

Re: Head liner
Hey guys,
I have a headliner that I may be interested in selling but not sure what it's worth? It's the full size one with pleats, Good condition, white/cream, complete, no rips or holes, all nuts bolts, and trim.
I'm sure if it's not proper color for someone could be dyed or painted in some fashion.
