Another new guy... finally got pictures.
Another new guy to the forum here. Got a new toy for quite the bargain. And I know almost nothing about it. I think I have about $800 invested, and it was offered as payment. Pretty sure it's a 1969 D200 camper special. 318 w/ 4speed manual. I am going to pick it up this weekend. I'm gonna need alotta help. So I'm glad I found this place. I thank you all in advance for the knowledge to be bestowed upon me in the future.
... still trying to figure out how to add pix.

Great to see you’ve come on board. If you want to post a picture send it in an email to yourself and size it at that point and then it will be something that you could actually post. Enjoy the Dodge not to many left drive around. Very simple to work on too.

Looks like a great truck.... is the guy expecting you to take the... "junk" in the bed??? Then again, maybe the tailgate is underneath all that? I'd say it looks GOOD!!! Yes, it is a 69 too. 318 engine, some rust too, but that is expected! Have FUN and welcome to the forums!

Thank you, I plan to shovel it overboard, if he hasn't already. He said hes got the tailgate in his pole barn. Not sure how it looks.

Any tailgate is better than no tailgate. Probably BEST that it is in the pole barn rather than under all that "stuff" in the bed.Dieselfool wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 6:44 amThank you, I plan to shovel it overboard, if he hasn't already. Welcome to the site. I'd say you definitely made out nicely.
Crew Cab long box trucks are not overly plentiful which makes them popular. The
stock front bumper on it looks pristine.... so don't hook your tow chain to it.
The first project is to pop those chevy hubcaps off. There are tons of people
here to help you out.

Re: Another new guy... finally got pictures.
Anyone know where I can find information on that motor?. And how accurate is that 210HP sticker on the air cleaner cover?

Not to rain on your parade too much..... but you'll probably need to go completely throughDieselfool wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 7:09 amThank you all, in think this is gonna be a pretty cool truck, I hope it wont need too much to get it back on the road.

the brake system from your power booster/MC all the way to the rear axle. Judging by the
extent that the tires have sunk into the earth..... and by the botanical science fair project
happening in the box.... you'll also end up needing to address the engine, clutch, drive
shafts, electronics, and cooling system. These Sweptlines are relatively easy to work on
but, as they're all 48-58 years old.... parts don't come cheap. If those wheels are 16.5", I'd
suggest looking for a set of 16" wheels because it opens up a much wider range of tire
options for you.
The 210hp rating is accurate. It is probably called out on your V.I.N. tag as well that
is located in the driver's door jam.
I'd estimate that you'll wind up investing somewhere between $2000-$3200 to make it
a safe and reliable truck.

Ha.. I accept your challenge. Hopin to have it roadworthy for less than $100. all jokin' a side. I've got a few sheckles to drop in the truck. Make sure everything is safe and sound to roll
