As I had mentioned only had the bench seat redone so back inside on the interior and I just thought this was a cool pic of everything pulled apart.
How did you go about tucking the edge of the acoustical mat under the lip atop the door footwell (I am assuming) with room left for carpet? It looks almost as if it had been compressed with heat.
Nothing is tucked in maybe it just appears that way from the pic, unless I'm not understanding what you're seeing.

Just curious as to why, given the rest of the trim package, you didn't go with the stainless drip rail on the cab? Cutting in the two tone paint on that edge had to be tricky.

I actually bought the truck with that paint job, which if far from perfect, but shows really well after it was cleaned buffed and waxed. I only made the effort to paint inside the hood and engine bay to show off the new engine better.
Amazing how rust free your truck is! Very cool looking custom! I love these '69-71' Dodge trucks much more than the 72's and up. Mine is a 71' as well, and I've quite a way to go just to get road worthy.

This truck is beautiful! What size wheels did you go with and did you end up lowering at all or do the larger wheels just fill in the wheel wells better?

Thank you. They are 20" wheels and we de-arched the springs to lower the truck. While I like the stance of the truck, I'm considering de-arching the front a little bit more.
Truck is back in the shop finally getting the carpet, headliner, new visors, kick panels and building out the space behind the bench seat where the gas tank had been located to house the speakers and sub-woofer for the stereo. Decided to go with something a little more modern on the carpet than just the normal loom weave so went with this: https://relicate.com/collections/german ... true-black

From my understanding, motor mounts, headers, radiator and driveshaft are the mods I will have to tackle. If that sounds right? D200 leaf springs for added weight? Also want to lower just like what you have. If you just re-arched these and put new shocks, I’m pumped!

I didn't have to do anything with the driveshaft and also used the D100 leaf springs. I'm not exactly sure if there is added weight given everything we put on the 440 was aluminum.
Great looking truck. With the larger and heavier Detroit Steel Wheels did you notice any changes in stopping power? Also what brake setup are you using front and rear?

Kept the rear drum brakes but replaced everything on them and converted the front to disc brakes. Replaced all the lines, fittings and upgraded the brake booster.
