Unloading my '61 into the garage!

Post by Snowdog »

After years of trying to get it into a work-space, my Grandpa's '61 came home yesterday! It's going to be a lot of work, but I'm looking forward to it.

Cool! I'm working on a 61 also. Currently swapping out the 318 poly to a la360.

I'd hang onto that Poly as prices go up, work on it bit by bit - and swap your 360 for a stroker dual-quad semi-semi, if only for bragging rights!

Have you considered "doing" the Poly? High performance parts are available and, with the short block bore, stroke, and configuration same as the la318, stroking is possible to around 400cu. The heads flow better compared apples to apples and your engine would look relatively original? I read an article on this once before 340s existed.
