Pic of my Dads old truck

Post by sledgehammer »

Found this pic of me and my brothers with my Dads '66. It had a 318 and granny 4 speed. He sold it in the late 70's. Me and my brothers always loved this truck and always liked the sweptlines from then on out.

I'm pretty sure it was my Ma who took the pic. This pic was from '74, as she always wrote on the back of them. Think he borrowed the canopy/camper from a friend to take on vacation. I don't recognize the background so it's from Montana or N Dakota. There was a huge gas tank in the front of the bed; that's why the gas cap on the bed.

That's a great picture. The rear tire looks really wide and the axle looks very stout, is it a dually?

Not a dually, just a fat tire

That's great. I've been wishing for a mid '60s crew for a while. They are hard to find.
