1968 Dodge 3 in 1 Road Race Set

When my Pawpaw bought our truck in 1968 he was given this Eldon slot car set by the Dodge dealer. The other day I decided to get the set out and play with it. I put new wider tires on the cars and truck, oiled the motors a bit, and after tinkering with the pick up braids, I got everything working great!!! I set the track up in several different configurations from racing to stunts. My nieces who are 7 and 9 years old came over and played with the set and they had a blast!!! My 9 year old niece even got a car to go up the stunt ramp and hit the clown's target and then the car fell back into the slot and continued on its way, it was a blast to see that everything worked so well. The last time I set this up and actually played with it was in 1998, so that makes it a 50 year old set that was last played with 20 years ago!!! Just like with my truck a little care and a lot of Love, and both the slot car set and Ole Blue will be around for a long time. Hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Very cool set. When one of the other Dad's on my son's hockey team first saw my 64' he told me he had a slot
car set as a kid that came with two of my trucks. Would love to track that set down. I have more modern Lifelike
set I bought about 12 years ago, my 9 yr old son loves when I get it down and we set it up.

Thanks. The set has road racing, drag racing, and stunts which make up the 3 in 1 aspect. The truck is part of the stunts part of the set. I've seen sets with at least 1 truck before, either white with red trim like mine, or red with white trim. My set came with 2 chassis, and 3 bodies. I Love the truck body in this set, in fact all 3 bodies have really nice detail. Look closely and you will see emblems, bumper bolts on the cars, snaps on the bed cover that is on the truck, side marker lights, even see the "Fratzog" on the truck's cab and the Coronet's "c" pillar roofline beside the side window quarter glass.

Here are some pics of Thrills and Spills!!!

Very cool. :clap I still have my Eldon Super 100 slot car
track. I haven't set it up in nearly 40 years. A few years
ago, one of the fellow Sweptline Forum members sent
me a pie plate Sweptline slot truck. :Thumbsup Some
day, I'll get around to putting the track together....

Cool, pretty sure you have the same truck that came with my set, which is also a pie plate. The car bodies each have 1968 on the underside of the bodies, the truck actually says 1965 under the body.
