I've only just recently purchased this 63 D100.
So far I'm just enjoying cruising in it but can feel the modification bug bitting already.
Does anyone know if there are many of these in Australia.

There probably aren't many in Australia since Dodge trucks of this era, over there, were based on the International Harvester trucks.

Sweet truck , left hand drive too. Is this common to find left drive vehicles there?

Welcome to the site. I wouldn't think there's a lot of the
left hand drive Sweptlines where you are. The box
on yours looks a bit different along the bottom rear.... did someone
tack in a filler panel? Just curious.

Left hand drive cars are becoming more common over here with the import of American cars. Anything over 30yo doesn't need to be swapped to right hand drive.
You still get plenty of looks though.
The rear bar that was on it was too big. So when it was removed the fill panels were put in to tidy it up.

only the cabs on those bigger trucks are IH. the rest was built by Chrysler in oz

It wasn't just bigger trucks, it was light duty pickups as well. The parts built by Chrysler didn't look anything like our Sweptlines either. The pickups (AT4) looked like smaller versions of the purple truck above. According to this https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/312 ... own-under/, the D5N (successor to the AT4) had International cabs built by Chrysler and the chassis was built by International.
