Finally a keeper!

Post by skyrodder666 »

Haven't posted in awhile. Been through quite a few sweptlines this year already. Think i finally found a keeper. Thanks to Bucky i went and picked up this '67 big block custom cab crew yesterday. Even came with the certicard. Super stoked to actually work on this one. Not sure on plans yet but I've really been eyeballing this new bolt on ifs set up that's come out. It's impressive. Anyway here are some pics

It's from a guy named Carl Gerst. Guess he's a big deal with the muscle crowd. Makes mostly IFS setups for the muscle cars. He just developed this bolt on system for sweptlines. It's a little pricey but it comes available with up to 4" drop spindles, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering. It bolts to existing holes in the frame. And it's already the correct track width, unlike the crown vic. Also available with Wilwood brakes and everything. For something I'm gonna keep i dont mind spending a little extra.

You can see the guinea pig truck here on his website. Looks like quality stuff.

he isn't really that big with the muscle car crowd.. hasn't been around too long. a few guys on forabodiesonly.com know his stuff but most of the other sites seem not to know anything about him.

Thanks! Yea i know what you mean. I love your turquoise 4 eye crew. That's pretty much my dream truck but i love the factory big block in this 67. Wish i could've found a 69-71 big block with factory ac that i could swap a 4 eye front clip on. But then i like patina more than paint so changing front clips ruins that.
