A D200 would be 2 wheel drive and a W200 would be 4 wheel drive. I notice the front tires stick out a bit further than the rears. Maybe it was converted to 4 wheel drive with a newer, wider axle. The engine is a Poly 318, which is different than the later LA 318.

the D44 and D44HD axles are a bit wider than the rear D60 axles.

The fronts stick out because the front tires are marginally larger than the rear. The one on the back is a smaller tire that we put on to tow it home. But the tag says it's a D200 so you may be right about the conversion. That's what's exciting about it, I really don't know! Any other signs that it's converted that I can look for?

Is the hole for the transfer case levers hand cut or die punched (factory)? Does the tunnel cover have the exact same paint (all layers) as the floors?
