I always wanted a Sweptline with a 12 valve (1996-1998) 6BT Intercooled Turbo Cummins but the engine bay is too short and it's hard to fit the intercooler even if you cut into the firewall.
I didn't want the 4BT due to the balancing challenge (paint shaker syndrome). It seems the Ford body worked well for this build.
I still love Sweptline's and I have a 1970 PW built up nicely as well.
But for this post, I'm showing my 1970 Ford... this is the general thread (for even the fish you caught as they say) so hope I don't offend anyone.
Original paint, NV4500 5 speed, A/C, Dana 70/60, married NP205, 12 valve Cummins 6BT from a 96 Dodge, boxed frame, 4 wheel disk brakes, Hydroboost, hydraulic clutch.
I've been getting over 20 mpg's and it handles like a dream. Easy to drive, strong as heck and I can rip most people off the line pretty easily.

that is a great look n ride. but you dont have to cut the fire wall to have a cooler. 24 valve in a 71. water to air cooler
777s on all that have and all that do protect our freedoms.

Awesome build! I love old Ford trucks near as much as old Dodges! I have been searching CL near and far for an interesting build that could be long distance daily Driver for my long distance recon trips! A while back I saw a mid 70s ford F250 with 351, 4wd, gear splitter, dual tanks set up in Wyoming, never could reach the owner, sadly I got the impression he was a Gas/Oil hand that was out of work.
