The 61 Ute, 3 years later

Post by mousecat »

It's been A LONG time, but I've finally gotten back home, and gotten back to work on the Ute.

Some of you might remember it, I've posted a few pictures before.

That's what she looked like after the first bath, and before anything really got done.

Have a fresh built 318 now, transmission is done with a new clutch and bearing. The electrical is currently giving me a huge headache. I've downloaded the wiring diagram, but it seems to be just a little bit inaccurate, but still extremely helpful!

Decided to take a little break from that and see what the paint looks like with the idea I have in my head?

The paint is the plastic stuff so when I really get it done, this stuff will wash right off, but in the mean time I kind of like it.

3 rattle cans of each color, so only about a third of it is done. but I thought I'd get some opinions from you all and see what you think?

Please feel free to offer your thoughts. I have much more details in mind, but this is a good start!

Thanks,

Mousecat

PS,

The garage is a disaster, but that's what happens when you're gone for almost a year!
