1962 D100 Short Bed
Hey guys just wanted to post a few pics of my new 62 D100 that I bought a few weeks ago from Kurt in Burbank Ca. All original truck that has a slant 6 3 on the tree. Already made a few changes. Swapped out the huge rear bumper, took off the bed hooks and filled in the holes and changed out the original yellow grille in put in a white one. Thanks for all the help guys!

Re: 1962 D100 Short Bed
Cant figure out how to make the pics of the rear bumper I installed smaller for the site to be able to handle it, but don't know if anyone else has tried it and some guys may hate me for it. But I had a white 67-72 c10/blazer light duty rear bumper (the flat kind that most blazers and some fleetsides) with factory brackets and it fit perfect on the 62. Width of the brackets were perfect for the frame (had to drill 2 new holes in frame) and width of the bumper was perfect, like it was made for the truck, looks great! Wish I could get the pics to upload but don't know how to compress them. just thought this would be good info for everyone.

that huge rear bumper would look good on a W series I think. too much for a d100 though. it sure did protect the back from dents! you could wipe out about 50 Toyotas with that thing. ;/)

Checking in! Saw this was for sale already, but too $$$ for me.

I was looking at the photos thinking that looks a lot like Burbank, CA not OK.... then realized it was my wife's friends house who's married to Kurt lol.
I would have bought it 3 years ago if I knew it was for sale!
