Don't See These Too Often In My Region

Post by Hobcobble »

I've known about this early long wide box for years. It used to
sit a a customer's facility but they never would sell it. I tipped
a friend off a few years ago and he managed to wrestle it away
and was going to use it for his '61 W300. Recently, he let me
know he's not going to need it after all .... so I agreed to buy
it to use on a '62 D100 that's been sitting around. I have a
spare cab/doors in halfway decent shape and a front clip
for it as well. Once I get my current project[s] out of the way
I'll throw this one together. I have an LA318 to go with the
original '62 Loadflite tranny and push button dash pod shifter.....
This box is very clean. The wheel wells are a bit bent up but
not rusty at all. The friend I'm buying it from will take care of
the one small rust hole in the tail gate for me too. :Thumbsup
It is sitting on a Sweptline frame.... but the builder used a
6 lug steer axle of some sort.... :thinking I have an old
ratty Utiline box that might possibly work with this frame to
keep it for use as a trailer.... :thinking Sorry about the fingers
in the pic....

It wasn't Glenn. This is a local Sweptline guy who doesn't use the internet.

I did talk with Glenn a couple of months ago. He's doing good.... still
chest deep in Sweptlines too ...

You might want to check with Kenny Exline. He might have some floor
panels you could install to keep yours on the road. :idea :2cents :Thumbsup
