Looks like a cedar shake roof? :thinking Neat old house. Looks like it had
some window shutters at some point. Nice Sweptline too! :clap

@ John, good eye. I can say with confidence that cedar shake roof is older than you and I have been on this earth if our ages were combined. The shutters are in the barn. They were removed when the house was painted in the spring of '59 and never reinstalled.

Have this house and property been in your family all those years Adam?

Nice. One of our homes is 108 years older than my oldest Dodge truck. And that truck is 66 years old...
If I didn't build it, it ain't mine.

1949 Dodge B1B-108; 1969 D100-128; 72 Super Beetle; and a bunch of others...

Nice house. When I was younger we lived in a house built in the 1800s in Placerville CA that had a slate roof from the Chili bar slate mine. Someday I will move to an older property again. I miss it.
