Spring Kayaking

Post by Noelie84 »

Sunday was such a nice day that I wanted to take the '69 for a drive, and the girlfriend wanted to get the kayaks down from overhead in the garage and go for a paddle.

We compromised.

And as it turned out, her parents had the same idea with their C10.

The late '60s were a great time for all of the Big Three for trucks. I've owned many Sweptie and quite a few '67 - '72 Fords, Chevys and GMCs. And one International. They all have their strong and weak points, but the styling can't be beat on any of them.

Nice! I plan on doing the same thing - we live near a reservoir and river system but I need to buy kayaks first. Before the kids, we would go to the mountains and it was a blast. :Thumbsup

For sure. Love the styling on the old Internationals! What year did you have?
The one truck that I'd rather have than an old Swepty would be one of the old Jeep Gladiators. I've always loved those things, and seeing one in Tremors just reinforced my love for them, haha!

Definitely get them from Craigslist; that's what I did and we got three kayaks for the price of one, in almost new condition, with paddles and vests.
