First of all I am new to the site and must say I am encouraged by the amount of guys still preserving dodge truck history. I picked this truck up yesterday and I must say I think it's a great start to my truck collection. 1968 D100 318 2bbl all original truck. Very clean truck and I am excited about driving it to shows. The dealership on the door is according to the guy I purchased it from is real. The guy he got it from had a relative that worked at the dealership. Very interesting and cool! :u :Thumbsup it has been leveled and lowered from removing two leaf springs. Tell me what y'all think of it.

When I'm driving my truck, I'm like a dog. I circle around three times before I lay it down, then I growl before I go to sleep. :salut

Thanks for the response! Where on the 318 block can I find the serial number stamped ? Also what was the stated HP of this engine at that time and did they have a 4 barrel version as an option?

The LA318 was rated at ~200-210HP. There was no 4bbl option.

And you won't find the truck's serial number stamped on the engine. There is a stamping on the engine but it is specific engine info. There is a good site somewhere with all the info to decode, but it will take me too long to find it.
