Paint test today. What ya think?

Post by my5thmopar »

I pulled the paint codes and had a sample mixed. It is turf green based on the 61-68 color charts. It is slightly lighter than the photo. Ignore the bad bodywork..this is just a test. Craig

Yes. I had the paint guy convert it from the Chrysler code.

Yes. I'll paint the entire truck myself. Shooting paint isn't that hard if you have the equipment and practice. Whats the worst that can happen? Sand and paint again, which I had to do already on the dash. Craig

a good paint shop should be able to at least color match a paint swatch. i was able to get the mustang grey mixed up for the door panels using the paint codes. my truck is black and black is black.

Agree with CSS/Ben about the good paint shop. You can find the codes here on this site and the paint shop can convert it to their brand. IF you are using BC/CC you can just use satin or 30% some call it. If using SS you can add more reducer it will dull the integrated clear.
