1969 A108 Travco Family Wagon camper

Post by pinkiedog64 »

Hello all,

Just bought this last night. '69 A108 van with the Travco Family Wagon conversion. 318, 727, 3.55, power brakes, no ac, no power steering, factory radio, 43,xxx miles, original paint. Hasn't run in a few years but should fire right up with a basic cleaning and tune up. I'll post more pics tonight. Currently has bed mounted in fiberglass top, sink, place for stove, some shelves, closet, and fold-out extension to doghouse engine cover that acts as a 4' long bed for a dog, child, etc? Hah. Plan to add fridge, stove, ac, couch/foldout bed, and then drive the heck out of it! It's pretty clean for the most part. No rust, grill is banged up, and a scraped/repainted area on the RH side below ambulance doors. All in all, not too bad.

Now to buy a toy Dusty Dodge van from the Cars movie!

That is cool! Like I said in another conversation.... you're due some good things
for taking care of your gal and the neighbor lady whose late husband owned the Crew Cab.
Talk about fast Karma! :clap :clap

I see a '67 Coronet R/T poking its nose out in the pic.... and a '70[?] Demon?..... :thinking
Are you bringing them home with you too?.... :thinking :dance

The guy I got the van from is a major Mopar collector. I'm quite sure the Coronet and Demon aren't for sale :pale Same guy has a dump bed I'm thinking of getting for the new W300!

A couple more pictures now that we actually have it at our house now. It has 47,xxx original miles and overall pretty clean. Hasn't been driven in a few years and last ran a year or two ago. This weekend's goal is to get it to move under it's own power. Bought a bunch of old Travco Family Wagon advertisements that we are stealing ideas from for re-doing the interior. Pretty much have a blank slate to work with. Will keep pics coming of the progress!
