Cool use of a comfortable car and a great-looking truck! A "Budge"? A "Dodgick"? Looks like fun!

Id love to do the same thing, my only hitch would be that i like dodge power trains. id have to modify motor mounts and transmission mounts to so i could slip a little mopar in there. did you have to do anything different to the title or registration for your truck? here in AZ im not if i would have to get mine altered. i dont think anyone would have to know though. no emissions on 67 and older.

i originally started with a '94 dodge 2500 frame. i was going to make it cummins powered..... but it was just too different from the sweptline frame to keep it low.

it's registered as a '68 d100. here in north florida they don't check much of anything. no smog, no inspections, etc.

lol do you still have the 2500 frame? i would love to do a cummins turbo diesel with an allison transmission.

what rims are you gonna put under it? something a little wider to fill in the wheel wells?

nah, i scrapped the frame.... the cummins is sitting in my garage still.

it needs wheels for sure. i'm just not sure what to get. i've been keeping an eye on craigslist, maybe something cool will pop up.

thinking about selling the cummins? might be interested. some five spokes would look sweet. or some moons, two tone chrome centers and black outers or white ect....

i like the patina too.... i'd love to get a nicer drivers side fender, but it wouldn't match, so i'm torn.

thanks. i hope so.

these trucks have a huge wheel well. seems like they really need like a 22"+ wheel, but i had these and adapters are cheap... hopefully 20's will be good enough.

Yah I agree, I think 22's would be the right size 24's look decent in the rear, but I think they might be a little big for the front..viewtopic.php?f=3&t=36429

If I had to run 20s and that was my truck I'd run something like these. They are spare wheels from a Dodge Ram. You'd need adapters.

i agree that they would look good, but the junkyards around here want too much for them....

here it is on wheels.... it needs to come down pretty bad. i'm not sure i can get the front low enough to look good and it still be driveable though.
