Looks awesome. The mirrors, to me, scream: "I'M NOT STOCK." As the rest of the truck demonstrates, the devil is in the details.

Really great truck, don't get me wrong, but 100% stock seems very subjective these days. Mirrors as mentioned, the seat is not original, is that carpet? Paint looks too nice in the pictures to be original. Guess that doesn't mean that it isn't the stock color though. Bumper, wheels and body all seem to be the same color which just seems unusual to me.

What engine? A V8 might add a little value over a /6.

Very nice though, I'd bet that it gets to $6k pretty easily on ebay.

If it were yellow I'd bid on it! :joker

EDIT: Is that $10k offer still around? That was a very good offer IMO.

Just scrolled though the build thread. Too bad you took the side trim off. I like the before pictures better than the after pictures, but that's just me.

I'd say that, although not "100%" stock, you have restored in in the
stock tradition. The truck is gorgeous and I'm with Jim on this one....
$6000 seems like a good price for your D100... :study :Thumbsup
I know I'd be proud to own it. :clap

First picture in the other thread looks like side trim, but I could be wrong. Maybe it's a pin stripe?

I believe he stated he was going to add the trim, I could be mistaken. I think the truck is a winner, but I do agree, it would look much better with stem mirrors. :2cents :Thumbsup

well 90% stock I never thought about the seat, carpet and Mirrors. I need to find a set of stem mirrors if I decide to keep it.

Thanks for the imput. I was hoping to hear around 10 to 12 I would never sell it for 6

The chrome ones that were here recently would look great.

How does the engine compartment and undercarriage look? The only sweptlines that I see going for 10k+ are either supremely detailed, body off repaint, frame and undercarriage totally done and nice, or ultra low mile 100% stock unmolested originals. BigDad, 68Shorty, Miatasportscar, behindthebadge, and that super low mile 71 sweptline special are high end to me.

My '61 is original except for the tailgate ,replaced floors, rockers( although they really did not need replacing...few pin holes). Added period correct bumpers.trim,etc. Drive line is original and has new or rebuilt brakes, suspension etc. Engine is original with freshened bearings, oil, fuel, water pump, etc. Repainted basecoat/clear coat and very little surface body filler (to smooth out). Frame is re-done except under cab. All gauges work, new oem turn signal switch, white wheel. Has chrome smoothies but I have a complete set of powder coated original wheels and poverty caps. My truck is not 100% original, has things added that were not there, but "period correct" IMO. Seat is a later design but what I like. I have more than $10k in my truck( and I don't care). Being the 1st year, swb I think it has a bit more value than others. I would not consider anything less than $10k if it was for sale. :2cents Chris. (BTW never was to be a look and no touch. )

No offense to anyone I left out! Yours is great too. Some of the hotrod builds here are also very nice. There just aren't enough pictures of the OP's truck to be able to tell if it's worth more.

I love this truck! Not a fan of bug eye trucks but this one changes my opinion. Looks great! Not sure what the going rate would be though, sorry. Usually completely stock is the most rare and worth the most but this try k is close enough that if Simone wanted to go that direction it wouldn't be hard to get there.
Again, very nice
Rich

Earl, no offense taken. It is very subjective, and prices are all over.....some underpriced and most over. :Thumbsup . I have made money on some of my past specialty vehicles, broke even on some and lost on some. Never has been a revenue source here, more of a write-off. Chris.

I'd pay you 5-6K maybe a lot more for it and pick it up today if I had the cash. I hope you can't sell it for a month or so as I may have cash then. I am looking for a California tagged shortbed that is clean like that. I, like many others, care little about "pure stock" as I'll be doing mods to it anyway.

I'd like to say good luck with the sale, but I hope nobody wants it so I can grab it up later this summer.

Nice truck.
