1970 Dodge D100

Post by rksmopar »

New to the site. I just picked up this truck after selling a 98 2500 with a V10 I decided that I wanted a vintage truck. The 70 is sweet with manual trans, manual steering and sweet little 318 in it. I plan on lowering it after I bring the maintenance up to date. I have been around sweptline trucks my whole life. It's fun to finally own one....or two. I saved the 1967 crew and probably shouldn't have. It's rusty and incomplete. I am interested in selling the Crew cab.

Nice 70.I'm envious on the hood shutting correctly.
the crew IS a re builder! great off road project!
Yep, make sure it whoa's as well as goes.
Later,
Skip

When I'm driving my truck, I'm like a dog. I circle around three times before I lay it down, then I growl before I go to sleep. :salut
So here's to you...

Thank you! I plan on either parting out the crew, or just keeping the bed to make a shorty out of the D100. I just got a quote to rearch the springs and that is next. It's fun to have a truck like the one I grew up driving.

It really is a nice truck. I am enjoying cleaning a few things up, and getting the cooling system up to snuff. This site is a gold mine of information.

I just had the springs done, and a leaf removed. Looks much better. I also painted the roof.

I found a look alike. I kind of like the mini west coast mirrors.

I see the rattle can on the bedside. Is that how you did the roof? If so how did it turn out for you? I want my roof white but am getting some high bids for it.

What size tires do you have on there? It looks good with the leaf removed and a little lower. Any bumpsteer issues from removing the leaf?

Thanks,
Rob
