What a beast!!
What a beast!!
Spotted this in Honolulu near my plumbing supply store today. I could hardly believe since it wasn't there a couple months ago when I was there the last time, but this appeared since then. It was on private property with nobody around so I didn't want to be too snoopy, but I took a quick look at it and the box was dead straight, it was just a nice origional truck that looks primered but I think it's just badly faded origional paint. The cab and doors are toast, but there were fresh rockers sitting in the cab and it appears that somebody is going to try to bring this monster back to it's origional glory. It also had the really interesting dealer sticker.
I'll try to get more info on the truck and post it, there's only a handful of swepties here in Hawaii so seeing this was a real surprise! aloha- pauly

W300 longbed Uteline dually? Wow, don't see those very often. When he gets sick of trying to track down unobtanium parts send it to my house.

Re: What a beast!!
seems like that truck was for sale on the mainland a few years ago...in the midwest or so.
rare to see a W300 with the custom cab trim, even more unusual is the factory grill guard generally only seen on the military trucks.
The W300 Utiline Dually has a great look to it.

There is no way that is a lifelong Hawaii truck, that's for sure. Looks like a former brush pumper, judging from the color and front bumper. Neat truck. Can't see it lasting very long in that salt air there, though.

Looks like the dealer sticker says Pontiac, Michigan?
Re: What a beast!!
I'm going back and check the mileage, I'm guessing its pretty low since, besides terrible rust, it's body and especially the box are arrow straight.

Re: What a beast!!
There was a Spartan Dodge in San Jose, CA back in the 70s that ran commercials late at night with all kinds of crazy stuff, it had the same Spartan head on the sign in San Jose. Couldn't find anything about Paul Newman and Pontiac Michigan associated with Spartan Dodge. The owner used to be like Cal Worthington dealership empire here in CA. That's a weird sticker. Nothing on a goggle search with Paul Newman, Spartan dodge and Pontiac michigan. That's a real weird sticker.dougdodgeman wrote:Looks like the dealer sticker says Pontiac, Michigan?
