I got to meet my all time favorite guitar player!
My girlfriend got us tickets to see The Reverend Horton Heat! I got to shake his hand and everything, plus my girlfriend got an autograph from their bassist. He's one cool dude too. I saw they were playing at a club a few miles from me and casually mentioned it to her thinking it would be cool to go but couldn't afford it so I just dismissed the idea. Then bam! she surprises me with the tickets a few days before the show. It really was a great time.

Yeah they did play Big Red Rocket of Love. It was a good set for sure, they threw some Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard in there. That's cool you got to see 'em too, their bassist is really cool he was signing the dash on some guys shoe box Ford after the show. I knew I should've brought my truck!

Holy Cow! I haven't thought about tRHH in close to two decades. I was doing college radio at WDCV in Carlisle PA and one of my favorites to play from heavy rotation on a Friday night was Liquor, Beer & Wine. Man, I have to go dig that out of my garage.
You gotta great girl.

I'm a huge 'rev fan, but can't remember the last time he smiled that big. I've seen him a few times around here. Fun stuff, great gal!
BTW, Four Hundred Bucks is my fave.

Also a fan of tRHH, seen him a few times in a few different states (Ca & Co).

Good on your gal for the surprise.!
