New hood paint scheme... Daddy Like...

Post by oneowner71 »

Finally got a chance to put the paint I've been holding for 8 months on the hood. Tip of the day...don't paint car parts at night (you guys in Houston will know what I mean when you see it.

Came out about what I was hoping for. Little careful sanding and I'll be set.
Thanks, Clint

At some point I'll do the rest of the truck in that same scheme, but right now I don't have the time to tear into the truck to do it right. Right now it's just a trial to see how it would all lay down and look together, plus I only had a quart of each color. Bugs weren't the problem. When I painted it, the passenger side-panel of the hood was shadowed a bit. When I got out to look next morning, I had a huge run in the paint where it got too heavy. I may be able to sand it out, we'll see. But it's better than the primer I've been staring out the last few years. It will probably look tacky as hell against the John Deere green, white, and rust of the rest of the truck.
Thanks, Clint
