truck looks good all cleaned up, congrats on a fine purchase. got one suggestion, loose those mirrors and find a factory set. i used the same ones on my 66, bought them from the local parts house, didnt last 2 years before the chrome was peeled and rusting and the joints where everything slides was wore out. and i aint in the humid climate you are. i also have 2 questions. #1= whats up with the hand print on the rear quater panel? you markin your territory??
#2= WTF do you need a rental wreck for when you got a runnin driving sweptline sitten there?? dont make me drive to rowlett and whup your a$$!!!

Thanks guys! Alot of Elbow grease used today! Enjoyed every second!
I have a spare set of black door panel I'm going to put on at some point. Right now I'm not wanting to change anything, just drive it.
When we went to get the rental this afternoon, we rode over there in the Truck. Advantage Rent-a-Car located right smack dab in the middle of Jupiter Chevrolet!! LMAO!!
It was priceless rolling through the lot and everybody and I mean everybody double taking on the truck. LOL When the wife and kids and I stepped out, I was wearing one of Ben's 69 D100 Sweptline shirts, it was way to funny.

No that's Paint. No idea why it's there, from what I understand it was on the truck when Jim got it.

Scott,
I have one suggestion.... enjoy it.... just like
it is . Jim sold you one excellent truck!
That paint job is the BALLS man!..... talk about
perfect patina! I wouldn't change anything on it...
leave the mirrors.... leave the hand print and rack
up some miles. You've taken your fair share of
ribbing for not having a running/road worthy truck
from all of us Scott.... this is your payoff dude!
You's guys that don't live in the northeast rust belt
where I am should consider yourselves very lucky to
have trucks in that condition. I sh*t you not.....
there is NOTHING around here in that shape for
sale.... NOTHING. Anything I've seen in that shape
in this region was imported from a warm/dry climate
and would be worth BIG COIN if it were for sale at
all. The only thing I'd be changing on that truck
would be radio stations....

Trey,
Main reason, because my insurance covers one.
I haven't had a real accident in 6 years or more and figured I've been paying all the money to my insurance company those years. Might as well use what I can. Wife has been driving the PT cruiser all weekend, she doesn't like it. I drove it to church this morning, it seemed ok, but i wouldn't buy one.
I'm driving the truck to work Monday. Don't worry, Howard will get to meet the Dallas Mix Master during rush hour traffic Monday morning!!
