Wheels/Rims Pic Thread Request

I did a search and the thread "Sweptline on 20's" helped with this. But I would like a thread where people post pics of their or others trucks with the pic being more specific or focused on the wheels/rims. I think it would be a good idea for future Dodge Sweptline owners (or recent ones like myself) to see what possibilities are out there. Get an idea of what things may look like before hand. If you can please state what size wheel/rim you are running. Thanks to all those who reply.

Great suggestion! I'm a newbie myself and a thread like that would be incredibly helpful. The galleries are great for ideas, but unless it's mentioned the size of the wheel and tire is tough to discern. Thanks, Derek.

This thread has some positive potential for me as well as I am heavily considering purchasing new rims to replace the rusted chrome rims that are currently on my truck.

I had to go through a lot of pictures before I found pictures of the rims. I just don't like them.

If I could find a good price on some Cragar S/S rims I think I'd go with them.

What is an appropriate backspacing and width for these trucks? I've got some fat meats on the back so I like what I currently have in terms of width but I have no idea what the rim width actually is.

I also am about to start looking for some tires and wheels, I was wondering what the typical size tire is for these trucks....P235/75 R15? I have a couple of these on the front and trying to decide if that's the size I want to run with. I believe I am going to stick with some sort of steel rim, would love to see some ideas.

on a 1/2 ton, 3 3/4 inches is the max backspace, and an 8" rim is max width on the front. over all tire diameter below 31" and narrower then 10.5" wont ever hit a thing. anything bigger and you may run into a rub here and there. the rear is much more forgiving. i have run 10" wide rims without issues and 33" tires. some here have even gone bigger. i put a 35x12.5x16.5 on the rear of my 3/4 ton once without issues. but on a 3/4 ton you can go bigger all the way around.

Cool beans, i have a couple of 31x10.5x15 i was hoping to use on the rear with stock rims and run 235's on the front.

I think there is a general consensus that a 225/75/15 or a 235/75/15
are both good "stock" candidates for the 1/2 ton D's.

on a stock wheel the 235/75 will rub your steering arm in a tight turn. the offset is slightly off to run such a tall tire. all the trucks i have had just about came with 235s all around. every one of them had a bald spot on the steering arm from the slight rub. also, a 31/10.5 is too large for a stock wheel. its only 5.5 inches wide, you need at least a 7 to properly run that large a tire. it will fit, and it will work, i have done it before, but you will not get the life out of the tire you should. what fit real nice was the 15x8's i ran with 31x10.5x15 on all 4 corners. the rims had 3 3/4 back space and never rubbed anything. gave the truck a nice beefy look as well.

Looks good I was thinking of going with a taller tire just so I would feel like I was driving a truck.......

My 66' is rolling on 265/70/17's and the rims are 17x8. as far as rubbing,it's really not an issue unless i turn the big wheel as far as it'll go, but i just ease off a little

I love the Town Wagon. That's great. And you made me look up Dial, GA on the map. I'd never heard of it.
