A friend of mine in Whitefish remembers this truck around the Flathead valley but never knew were it was from.

Cris,

Not sure of the proper color for it. The white that is on it now is very dingy, just looks bright cause I washed it for once...

Picked up this 1967 Dodge D200 Custom Camper Special longbed from Scott a couple of years ago. Pretty rare "luxury" crew as it is also a 318 automatic. Haven't done much else to it than cleaned the body with toilet cleaner and scotchbrite pads (it was really oxidized and had quite a bit of surface rust), cleaned up the engine and installed new fuel and water pumps, alternator etc and pressure washed the undercarriage thoroughly. It seemed that the truck had been in a flood as there was mud everywhere and water in the trans. Hope to install a rebuilt trans and converter and rebuild the brakes before next summer. Also bought a nice set of west coast mirrors because Scott had thrown away the originals (yeah, lol!). Can't wait to get to take it for a drive, love the patina but hope to get new Custom seat covers and a carpet at some point...it also needs new windshield and rear window rubber. Looking to replace the split rim wheels with regular ones also...

What a great looking Crew! Your truck really has a period look to it.

It seems you're missing the bolt in crossmember pieces for the automatic transmission application.

Please post some pictures of the interior, we'd love to see it.

Thanks for sharing your truck with us,

Scott

Thanks for the kind words! I do have the correct crossmembers, I am waiting to get a rebuilt transmission from the US. Here's a couple of interior shots, the beautiful (but slightly torn) Custom seats are hiding behind some cheap black vinyl covers...

Trying the mirror on, this photo shows pretty well how oxidized the paint was...

That's a straight ol truck, especially for working crew cab. the hood and body panel fit is still good!

You can't get the 727 rebuilt up there?

Yeah, the straight body and lack of rust through makes me want to preserve the patina....the trans in the truck had a lot of water (thus rust) in it and there aren't too many short tail cores here (Finland/Sweden). On top of that the prices for a rebuild I got quoted (unless no broken hard parts) were in the $2000-3000 range....that is insanity. I should probably look into doing that stuff myself.

Wow, I didn't realize you were in Europe! I was thinking Canada maybe. I certainly see your point now.

Looks like some of the pics are in a shipping container, where did you find it?

The truck came from Scott Blaylock's (HellBelly) inventory (thanks again Scott, had a great time in Texas!) and I trailered it to Houston. The one pic is not from inside a container, it is inside of a reefer truck I used to drive in Finland. Working in Sweden now...

Thanks guys! And not yet Crusty! We found out yesterday it will be in January's issue of 8 Lug (on the shelves in the middle of December) but we haven't heard from Diesel World. Supposedly they are running a story as well. I don't have dates from them yet but will keep everyone posted.

Well, I only have a smartphone so I can't upload any pics. Just bought a 63 d200 crew cab step side with a 4bt Cummins and turbo 400 tranny. Divorce mounted twin stick np205, gm power steering and hydroboost. Some rust on doors and top front corner of the cab. Floorpans and frame are good. Chevy 3/4 ton axles. Payed $2000 for it...
