I used Omni on the truc and used PPG's lesser brans clear SHOPLINE brand that is available anywhere PPG is sold. I used a late 60s chrysler paint, stock on both this an dmy dart. Q5 turquoise metallic on the base and the SHOPLINE clear.

I can not tell you the work involved in getting this bed MOSTLY straight. The dings inside this were horible as I assume most are in single wall beds. but it almost arrow straight and the 70 challenger flip top gas cap looks stock.

the bed is ready for paint after a little wet sanding for final. However I have decided to do the doors inside and hang them and do it all at once. the fenders were done last season.

like the gas cp area on the drivers side?

the oddball box on the inside hides the fuel filler tube lines to the late mod ramcharger gas tank under the frame rails.

A couple of more sweptline pics of the 67 and a question. I need two fender upper inserts. these are the small square threaded inserts that go into the hole shown below and when a bolt is used, it sucks the fender against the side wall.

WHERE CAN I GET A SET/ 2 pieces. I dont thinkt hey are used in the cars, I have not seen them. Need help.

You might be able to weld a nut into the upper fender holes if you can't locate the square inserts.

Well, a LOT has happened since I posted this.I traded this truck off to a friend as I was getting rid of alot of my cars and trucks to leave NV and retire. I retired 18 months ago and moved to Idaho and built a 1200 sq ft shop with a 500 sq ft apartment on 175 acres.

My buddy who owns the truck was suppose to trade me some labor. he has since lost interest in it and has moved on and has no time to trade me labor so I am getting it back. He has put on fenders and a hood, redone the wiring and currently is doing a trans/ transfer case swap. He says the newer style will fit right in and clutches and are easier to get and the transfer case is better. From a 70s truck.??

In any case, once my shop is done, I will repaint it and drive the crap out of it. CANT WAIT. Its sitting in Nevada and should be heading this way soon.

I am going to paint it the color I started, the white over Q5 turquoise metallic. My buddy added the fenders, did some extra work to it, so no, I did not find the inserts. I will ask him.

I removed one of the fenders from a 65 W500 that I'm parting out. I may have some. The truck & fenders are a way's away from me, but I may have brought the hardware here to my house. I will take a looksy & see if I can spot them.

I will look in my bucket of bolts tomorrow. If they're not there they may be with the fenders (one is still on the truck), which is at my dad's 120 miles away. I could have him look.
I will reply here tomorrow night as to what I come up with.
I am looking for those square nuts/retainers pictured above, correct?
