Rookie Trying to post a picture

I haven't the foggiest idea what I'm doing. Scott, I'm following your instructions as best I can. Somebody please take the time to tell me if it comes out right. Or better yet I can see for myself can't I?..... Goldie

Obviously, I'm going to have to go to computer school. I really hate not knowing what I'm doing. Sorry for wasting everyones space.

hey goldie - try finding the photo in a browser and then copy that url from the top of the browser address bar into forum following scott's direction - i tried the link and could not find the image. the host site does allow remote hosting - i tried this link from another site on the server -

Looks like your real close to getting it. Once you get the picture link. Put it in between this code.

Yes type exactly what you see below brackets and all, just insert your image link where is specify.

Follow my picture instructions and take your time ands get the link to the picture like I show you. Put that link between the code I show above and put it in the body of your message.

Goldie, a URL is a web address. Like http://www.sweptline.org. Go to the site you have the picture at and copy the address from up above.

I'm an idiot and tired! You need to do the same thing but use the img tag.

I'm sorry about that. URL is for a link I'm just tired.

Your link still doesn't work, make sure your following the steps at the end of the explanation when trying to get your image URL

No idea where your getting that link but it's not working.. sorry You need to right click on the image on the right, then go to proporties and copy the link is shows there.

Goldie, you have the code correct, my suggestion is to take all the spaces and dashes out of the file name? Try that. Delete that picture and upload a new one that has been renamed.

I'm off to my second job.. good luck I'll check back in the morning to see how you did.

Scott, the 81x site has changed a bit since you put the instructions on the Forum.(very understandable) I cannot highlight the address as you instructed so I noodled around a bit and I'm going to try this again. I'm nothing if not stubborn...........Goldie
