I was channel surfing and the local PBS station was airing events from the state fair. They had a truck pull there and the only Dodge was a 68 Power Wagon. Most of the trucks looked pretty nice and like people put a lot of money in them.

I haven't been here in ages, so I can't remember if I've posted this before. My little crew cab is going to be in the new Danny Trejo movie "Machete Kills" that's hitting the screens on October 11. My '65 Valiant is also making an appearance in the film.

The truck has since been painted, but still sports all the hot rod stuff.

The movie Trucks, based on the Stephen King short story, shows a 4 headlight D200 in the opening scene.

I just watched Alaska: Dangerous Territory and noticed a white 68 CC PW with a camper on it being hauled to Prudhoe Bay on one of the first big truck convoys up. They must have thought they were pretty tough to take one on the first lift up into those conditions:).

As poor as the heater in my dad's 66 was during the winters in Iowa I can only imagine how it was in a Sweptline in the Arctic Circle. You never even thought of unzipping your coat, and it rarely if ever thawed the snow and ice on the floorboards. I wonder why they rusted out;).

I was flipping through the channels and saw this. The movie is called Neighbors.

The coverage of the death of Nelson Mandela also showed a Sweptline Panel Van or something.

There was a heavy duty heater that was available as an option in Swepties. I've seen one, and that was on a truck I found in Colorado several years ago that I parted out. It is physically different than the normal heater, with a core about 50% larger than the normal heater had. The mounting holes appeared to be the same, though I had no other Swepty at that time to compare the mounting to.

I've got a '61 - '68 Dodge truck parts catalog, I'll have to see if I can find that heater.

At pretty much the very end of the movie 'Two Guns' there is an obstructed shot of a early power wagon. Couldn't decipher if it was a crew cab. This is is a Denzel Washington, Marky Mark movie, I mainly watched for the Challenger. Much to my surprise it didn't get destroyed on camera.

This one may have already been mentioned, but I didn't find it in a quick look thru. It's a Coca-Cola commercial that features a Fargo. Opens with a nice full on shot.

It may have been mentioned but in the Rambo movie First Blood you can just see one parked on the street for a couple of seconds when he's escaping the police barracks on a motorcycle.

I set my DVR to record the A$$ monkey show when the butchered the Swepty, and it's still going, watched a preview show that aired last week that included a bunch of cars they didn't buy. Well one guy that had a LOT of cars in the yard was standing next to the rear and of nice looking UTE, but they never showed the front end of it!

Got to remember to turn that DVR off so I quit wrecking my mind with the endless CRAP I see them do!
