'70 D200 Camper Special....The green machine
Bought it with a "blown engine", but it just needed points and a battery! It lives........
NOS mud flaps " Keep on truckin' "
First moment off the flatbed at home.
Just mocked up the cab clearance lights and repairing the marker wiring.
Hella H4 conversions with Euro Rally yellows.
Found this cap under the seat so it became interior trim!
Added an original hood emblem.
Father surprised me with an original mirror. He blasted and painted it up, I made a gasket but I still have to pull out one mount hole because it was bent in on the door skin.
Swapped out the reverse lenses with some NOS with gaskets. Man they look so good next to the polished out red lenses!
And a look under the hood so far...
Then went and swapped out the west coast mirrors for the 3 point style it came with. I pulled these WCM with plenty of patina but I love the look!
U-Picked these small west coast mirrors and swapped out the short factory arms for these longer split base versions for more reach.
My brother spotted these window vent shields in the u-pull yard right before they crushed it!
Another eBay item, but I wanted an original radio. Autozone antenna works fine!

Re: '70 D200 Camper Special....The green machine
It has a 318, 3 speed auto with that 4.10 gear. Yeah I added the cap. It’s beat up, but I got the side windows working again. I removed the rear window because it was already broken and replaced with something all wrong. I’m going to repair it as best I can and reuse it.
Just rebuilt the heater box, but I need to finish it this weekend. Adding some original clearance cab lights, hood fratzog emblem, and the stainless drip edge trim also.

Welcome Nice truck. My 70 was that color before the original owner painted it. Ho about a few interior shots of the dash and kick panel. I'm looking for the interior color on a truck with that green poly? or whatever its called. Thanks Craig

Nice. My uncle had a D-200 about that year the same color if I remember right. Love the Strohs cap. Detroit fire brewed! I used to drink a few of those.

Nice rig!
Going to be one of the better looking dark greens. Keep at it.

I'd say do it and see what they look like, you can always take them back off.jacqueskruseo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2019 2:12 pmBig thanks! I love the look and colors in these. So much, I bought another pair for the front, and scored a pair of the large trailer style. May just add them both and put the big ones on the bumper. What do you think?

Super sharp truck !
I would love to find a set of those rear mudflaps for my 70 D200....Where did you find them ?
Also, are the side trim moldings are your truck a "camper special" factory item ? I have just a regular D200 and would like to find an NOS set and install on my 70....Thanks and " Keep on Truckin " :)

The side trim is part of the CUSTOM pkg. Has nothing to do with the CS pkg. There are 2 sets - side trim and lower trim. Never heard of any full sets available NOS. The lower trim (used) usually sells higher than the side trim. I have a lot of it available.chibravo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 8:19 amSuper sharp truck !
