I don't know if anyone watches Sons Of Anarchy, but on the third episode I believe, of this season, there was a 68 2wd in awesome shape!

The movie Earthquake featured a long bed 4 headlight truck passing in one scene.
The movie The Car has a Dodge sweptline dynamite truck. Not many shots of the truck so I can't tell what year it is. The hood doesn't stick up at all in the back.

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs
The TV show S.W.A.T. featured a 68 D400 armored truck. The truck was stolen and then used in a jewelry heist. The truck was then surrounded and a standoff ensued. The Police shot paint at the windows and then put a smoke bomb in one of the roof vents.
The interesting thing was that the Police had blueprints of the truck. They showed them and they looked like very detailed drawings of the truck. I wonder if any other blueprints of Sweptlines are out there somewhere.

About a '62 Utiline belongs to one of the main characters in the 80's independent film "The Whole Shootin' Match." Filmed in Austin, TX. My buddy played the bad guy.

Seen a red fire truck crew cab with early fridge handles on Good Guys Wear Black - Chuck Norris movie this morning. (It was the only thing on at 3 am. ) It was in the opening scenes just parked at a track.

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs
In the movie Midnight Run, there is a big window Ute parked on the street.
Today, I saw a movie trailer that shows a Ute from the rear, close up. It's an action movie, can't recall the title But what's wierd, it has the old bed with the angled bed rails, but a newer (sweptline) cab, with a big window, IIRC. It seemed like the truck might figure prominently in the story, maybe wishful thinking. I can't wait to find out more!

it was only a 1-2 second shot of the front end. easy to make a mistake in that amount of time. :)facechicken wrote:Huh, I don't know what the hell I was looking at to make me think that

I don't know if the one in, Beer for my Horses has been mentioned. It's a 65-67 W200. Their is a 62-65 in the 1975 Return to Witch Mountain. Their is a 69 school bus in the movie Alive or Dead. Their is a C series in the movie Christine. Their was an Allstate commercial several years ago with a mid 60's d100. I have seen a few commercials that just showed the passenger window, another one with the camera looking at the wind sheild of a 62-68.

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs
Sitting at a bar last night I looked up from my frosty mug of Yuengling just as a Utiline tailgate flashed across the screen.
I was lucky to catch it, because it was only there for a second.
Anyways, it turned out to be in a preview for the upcoming movie "Act of Valor" (2.24.12) about a Navy SEAL team.
It seems like a cool movie, and it's shot with real SEAL's as "actors".
I looked up the clip on youtube and got some screen-shots. Turns out it's a lifestyle truck, but hey, the bed is the same and it looks pretty awesome with a SEAL in the back taking aim at some unseen enemy.
The clip I watched has a duration 2:38, and the truck comes in @ 1:38.
