restoration of a 1965 D-100

Post by Bronson »

I am new to your site and I have been working on a 1965 Dodge D-100 for nine years. I am having problems finding parts. Would appreciate any remarks or help in finding things. I am searching for a wiring harness and possibly a hood for my truck.

Welcome to the site!!! :salut I'm sure you will find most anything you want, there's a lot of good people here that can either sell you what you need or point you to where to try to look for it or in some cases, tell you how to fix what you have! They have helped me many times!

Welcome to Dodge truck world.....
hood for a 65? since shipping these hoods is really out of the question
because of cost you need to find one near you to get......
which brings up what part of the country are you in?
Now as too your truck, there are early and late 65's, the in this
case the early ones will have no trim or just a thin strip like the
64 4 headlight trucks...or no trim, or wide trim with colored center
like the 66 2 headlight trucks........ otherwise there is no differance
other than trim and the no trim hoods will fit 61 to 67.

I have a hood that I can sell that is in good shape with
the wide trim and white center, but unless your
near Vancouver,WA it's not going to do you any good.

65 model trucks are a little differant, there are early and late
models, early are like the 64 and earlier truck, late are like
the 66 and 67 and there are frame, axles, options, as well as some sheet metal and trim changes in mid 65, so on some stuff you need to
say what you need according to which 65 truck style you have.
