Just got a '65 D-100 Utiline this weekend and it's been sitting for 9-10 yrs. They said it had some elect. problems then. I need to get a complete new wiring harness. Do new harnesses come with all wiring in the truck? How about the plugs on each side of the firewall, new fusebox, etc,...
Where's the best place to order? Thanks....
Wiring Harness
How bad is it ? I have seen some that people have just taken apart for some unone reason , just because the points werent working & they thought it was a wireing problum , I try to keep the 69-71 around for my own reasons so I'am not a real help for your harness , But you should have a under the hood harness A under the dash harness & one from under the hood at back of the fuse box & it runs to the back of the truck .
Hope this helps a little

Utiline;
To my knowledge, there are no aftermarket resources for our wiring harnesses. If you can find anything NOS - and for less than the cost of a new Mega-Cab Ram - it would likely be a miracle!
So, we usually have to make due with what's there, what we can scavange off of junkyard pickups, and sometimes we just have to improvise. Sounds like the place to start is to see what does work, and trace it from there. You will definitely need a wiring diagram (found in Service Manuals, or someone once had one posted somewhere around this site, I think). Try to save whatever you can... it'll be worth it (especially the connectors!).
