Electrical switch for back up lights

I changed out my tranmission from a three speed to for4 speed (435)many years ago. Where is the switch to activate the back up lights when in reverse?Thanks Norcal68

It sits underneath the tranny hump just below the shifter. If you need the part # to order a new one through the dealer, I can get that for you also. Jim

Jim a part number would be great! Does it mount to the tranmission or the sheet metal? Thanks for you help. George

Here is the #, 4373814. It is a 2 prong switch mounted into the transmission just below the shift tower. Good luck. Jim

Thanks again for your help! Will this part number work a a '68? I just check with Arizona Parts and there computer shows its for a 1990-'97?George

Stay away from AZ Parts, they are pretty much worthless. To the best of my knowledge that part # will work for most np435 (4spd) trannys. Either use Partsvoice.com to search for a dealer with one in stock, or go to your local dealer. Jim

I just ran the # through parts voice and pulled up no less than 6 dealerships in SoCal & AZ that have that switch in stock. It runs 15-20. Jim
