Stop light switch?

Wiring, lights, heater controls, anything electrical..

Stop light switch?

which switch is the switch that is activated when the brake is a pplied because my switch is wired the way the diagram says the backup switch should be but i would think that it would be the stop light switch. where is each located? :withstupid

The brake switch is mounted on a bracket just above the brake pedal. The back up switch is on the side of the tranny on 4 speeds and newer auto trannys. Its in the dash shifter on those type.I dont know where it is on the push button shift trucks.

Backup lights were not a factory option with
the pushbutton auto or the manule trucks
back in those years (early 65 back).
They could be dealer added with non-stock to truck parts> there not listed in the parts manule
for the 65 and earlier trucks.
