Gas Gauge Repair?

Hey everyone, I'm in the process of fixing all the electrical and I can get my gas gauge to work. Any ways to test this or do you know anyone who repairs the guages?

Your problem could be with your sending unit.... have
you pulled it from the tank and tested it?

does the temp gauge work?

page below.
Checking the sender is a must also, sunk floats
and bad senders are also common.

Ok, so it is the sending unit. Where can I get a new one?

rebuilt or use is the only options;
unless you can pull yours appart can
clean up the contact points were the
arm sweeps.
If it is a sunk float the
a trip to the Ford dealer is
in order for a new float (thats right,
some of there senders use the same float
and mopar does not have them anymore).

Of course if it looks like it was
on the bottem of the ocean for a few years
replacement is in order.... most of the
Dodge trucks with "in cab tanks" use
the same sender.

i have a used set of gauges. make me an offer. out of a 64 but i have a 68 face that can be put on them as well. let me know. thanks -Randy
