Dash light ?

Wiring, lights, heater controls, anything electrical..

Dash light ?

I had to change the under dash harness in my 71 , & now I had to make a jump wire to get dash lights to work , any one have any ideas ? jump wire from inst fuse to a radio fuse & come on when key is on , Thank's in advance

Hey There Cowboy,
Sounds like a headlight switch to me. You can check it by removing the switch from the dash and plugging it back in to your harness. :study Find the proper pin on the switch. If you find it is good, I'm sure you have a bad connection somewhere. You did say the lights come on with a jumper.

70 D100 Thanks , I'll double check it , All was good till for some reason The red wire in the harness melted , so I just change the harness , & then no dash lights , I might have not push the plug tight enough,

you also might have fried the resistor coil in the switch when the red wire fried. when you pull the switch, check continuity across the coil in it to see if its still making contact. the 66 did that to me once before. :Thumbsup
