Wipers are kicking my butt

I had to take apart my wiper system to fix a frozen up arm in the cowl and wore out gear in the motor. Now I can't get the store position and wipe position to match it wants to store in the middle of the windshield or wipe on to the hood. It's really passing me off. Any suggestions? It's a 2speed.

what i do is disconnect the arm off the motor
run the motor till it parks then reconnect the arm with the wiper arms in the park position
be careful cause arm on motor could go 180 deg off
so test it with wiper arms on

Nutz means test it with the wiper arms OFF, not ON!

If you took the motor apart, you may have re-assembled it with the park position incorrect.

I pulled apart a 70 wiper motor and put it back together the wrong way. Had to fiddle with it to reclock to correct position.

yes wiper arms off ...
anyone of the arms could be just a little off and get the whole thing out of sync
yes then if you have the park switch off thats a whole new headache
