Bulkhead Connector Replace 1969 W100
My bulkhead connector finally melted down and I need to replace it, and at least one of the 8-connector plugs. How much of a pain is this? Any tips or suggestions? My alt wire has already been rerouted, per the 1970(?) service note. I think I'm going to stay OEM. Thanks!

I have links to where you can source the bulkhead terminals in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=43919&hilit=alt

Re: Bulkhead Connector Replace 1969 W100
I have seen new replacement castings on eBay as they were also used on cars. The connectors are available in bulk as "Packard style." The blades can be squeezed with needle nose pliers and withdrawn. The female slide connectors can have the top tab bent down with a very small blade screwdriver and also withdrawn.riffraff wrote: ↑Fri Apr 21, 2023 9:28 amMy bulkhead connector finally melted down and I need to replace it, and at least one of the 8-connector plugs. I plan to reroute the ammeter lines through the firewall using 5/16 ring connectors on insulated bulkhead connector studs.

Re: Bulkhead Connector Replace 1969 W100
Thanks. I found an NOS bulkhead connector, part number 2926263 and all three cable ends, 2962256, 2926257, 2926258, so I'm going all in. My amp cable already was rewired using 10ga straight through the firewall.

Re: Bulkhead Connector Replace 1969 W100
I found everything on eBay. You have to be somewhat clever with your searches. Only one connector plug showed up on a numbers search. Had to just search for Mopar bulkhead connector, or something, and look at the pics. Using Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler separately instead of Mopar sometimes helps. The bulkhead connector I found was listed as a fuse block. Part number and pics were correct, though. Lets see what shows up...
