If I have an electronic ignition module can an internal resistor coil be used to eliminate the firewall mounted ballast? I know this has been talked about but I'm seeing youtube stuff that is now confusing.

I ran the Mopar upgrade kit on mine that includes an ignition box, solid state distributor and a new ballast that was a different value than the original (as in what was on my truck when i got it), I don't recall what they gave me in terms of a coil, I don't know if a internal resistor coil would have the correct value..
