What electronic ignition are you using? Chrysler electronic ignition still uses a ballast resistor.
Late 65 w 200.
Factory LU-2 winch.
Updates: 205 transfer case,4.10 gears, disc brake Dana 60 front with lock out hubs
440 repower in the works

Mallory e-Spark 6100M. It too uses the ballast resistor. This same module worked fine on my last truck and on this one until now.

not sure bought it over a year ago
before i found out it had low compression from the head (think stuck valve or broken spring )
but it said to send full 12v to the dist.
i'll post when i find it

or eroded seats - from original non-hardened seats and unleaded gas.....

yea had an extra head so had that built with hardened seat
when i bought it carb was gummed up and accellerator pump passage was clogged
so got it running on 5or4 cylinders. didn't want to play with the points so bought some dist.and cap ,rotor wires
then did a compression test when i found # 2 had none , the odd thing was every once in a while it had compression
so its either valve,spring or seat
then i pulled the nose and did my bushings and king pins ,now the bed is off doing bushings and new dif bearings
it turned into a bigger project then planned
i hate doing stuff twice .. next is pull the cab new front floors and mounts then i'll do the engine and clutch
hoping vroom vroom buy the spring
