swap 65 dash into 67 d100

been thinking of swapping my 65 parts truck dash into my 67
67 has been cut up and want to loose the dash pad (also the wiring has been hacked up a little)
the 65 is the cool blue/green so going to match the inner doors to it
my question is ,are the wiring harness the same . the 65 doesn't look like its been hacked at all
and what other things are different

Dash bolts right in. Wiring in 65 may be a bit different than 67 but doesn't care what dash you use.

Is the gas gauge supposed to be grounded to the metal dash instrument cluster housing ?

yes it grounds as part of the cluster. If the dash is the early 65 there may be a difference, mainly the fuse box, some early 65s may not have the fuse box or the low fluid brake light, otherwise there the same as 67
